Recyclable waste comes in, and finished products go out. We collect, sort, and prepare materials for recycling: we turn rigid plastic into flakes, film into granules, and we even manufacture waste bags from those film granules.

Our goal is to ensure that recyclable waste does not end up in piles or landfills, but returns to the cycle as products that can be used in manufacturing.
Experience, capacity, and international operations
Galangal has been working in the waste management industry for 15 years, with a stable process, team, and infrastructure that allow us to handle large volumes. We collect and process tens of thousands of tons annually, while providing our clients with organized documentation and genuine recycling. We operate in Latvia and across Europe, where both quality and delivery discipline are essential.

We want to make waste management simple, clear, and organized for businesses and farmers. From collection to documentation and recycling. Whatever cannot be recycled into material, we divert to energy recovery so that waste is not wasted.
How we got to where we are today
From the very beginning, we have worked toward our goal: to clean the environment efficiently and conserve resources in production. Over time, we have found a good rhythm and continue to develop and grow to this day.
Founding
Galangal was founded with the goal of working within the recyclable waste cycle and creating practical solutions for businesses, farms, and other waste generators.
Recyclable waste trading
Initially, the company's operations were focused on trading recyclable materials, connecting waste generators with recycling facilities.
Sorting and trading
As operations expanded, Galangal began not only trading materials but also sorting and preparing them for further processing. This ensured more consistent material quality and greater added value.
Waste collection
The next step was to establish a collection service for recyclable waste. The company began providing collection using its own transport, compactor containers, and a manipulator, as well as handling the necessary documentation.
"Labais Maiss"
A year later, Galangal developed its own waste bag product, "Labais Maiss." This allowed film collected in Latvia to be returned to the cycle as a practical, everyday product.
Rigid plastic recycling
Continuing to develop our recycling capabilities, the company began processing rigid plastics. The collected and sorted materials are cleaned and shredded into flakes, which can be used in the manufacturing of new plastic products.
Pellet production
The next stage of Galangal's development is the creation of a film recycling line and the production of plastic pellets. This will allow an even greater portion of collected materials to be processed on-site and returned to production as secondary raw materials.
